Prizes for the best talk and poster

Presenting the own research in a comprehensible and convincing way to an interdisciplinary audience is a skill which can be practiced at the BayCEER Workshop. A poster prize as well as the prize for the best talk are announced for PhD students .

Evaluation criteria

The participants of the accompanying course on Presentation Skills defined the following criteria for the evaluation of contributions:

• For posters
  
  • 40% Research Idea
  • 20% Presentation at the Poster Flash
  • 40% Layout of the poster

• For oral presentations
  
  • 30% Research Idea
  • 40% Presentation
  • 30% Layout of the slides

Evaluation Panel

In the jury there are participants from the Presentation Skills course, judging the presentation form they do not deliver themselves, as well as senior scientists, whose evaluation is given more weight for the first criterium (research idea).
