Short-term visits
Criteria
- Duration of up to 15 days
- Work must be related to the FIMIN programme
- Mainly directed at senior researchers
- Stay is in a country other than the country of origin (contributing countries preferred)
Researchers benefiting of a travel/exchange visit grant are required to return to their home institution after completion of their stay, so that the applicant’s institution may benefit from the broadened knowledge of the scientist. With the application the applicant agrees to have his/her name and affiliation listed on the FIMIN website as "Part of the Network" if the grant is allowed.
Accompanying documents
- description of the proposed work (ca. 250 words) and aim of the visit
- applicant’s CV (two A4 pages)
- letter of acceptance from the host institution
- application form including proposed starting date and estimated travel costs
Application forms for Exchange Visits were submitted online to the ESF, the programme ended in May 2013.
Levels of award
Short Visit Grants are reimbursed, on a per diem basis of 85 EUR plus actual travel expenses up to a maximum of 500 EUR, after the visit subject to submission of the scientific report, signed host statement form(s) and original travel ticket(s). If the length of stay is shorter than the foreseen period, the payment will be adjusted accordingly.
