Fruit picking allowed!

Picking allowed! Every year, countless apples, pears and cherries rot in Franconian Switzerland because the trees are not harvested by their owners. At the same time, many orchard owners are regularly annoyed when they find their trees stripped at harvest time due to wild picking. The "Yellow Ribbon" harvesting project offers a solution to both problems. By means of a marking, scattered fruit stands can be released for picking for private use (e.g. as a snack for hikers). Trees without markings, on the other hand, are taboo. 10 communities of the Intercommunal Alliance (ILE) "Rund um die Neubürg - Fränkische Schweiz e. V." and some private people participate in this great initiative.
