The scientific activities have been focused on following aspects:
- Forest hydrology, watershed hydrology and soil erosion; technical solution for
management of headwater protective ecosystem and land use system.
- Economic valuation of ecosystem services.
- Economic aspects of conservation and development of NTFP species.
- Ecological characteristics and silvicultural solutions in order to rehabilitate, assist
regeneration and harvest natural forests.
- Establishing some plantation, enrichment planting models based on native,
multipurpose species with high economic value.
- Establishing some theory models about intended forest structure, expected forests
are naturally woody and bamboo forests.
Some typical scientific works have been carried out as following:
1. Research on breeding and planting Calamus tetradactylus, Daemonorop poilanei in some ecological zone of Vietnam (head of project team).
+ Financially supported by Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development
(MARD).
