BayCEER Movie Night

Dr. Wiebke Finkler is a filmmaker and visual researcher. She also teaches others how to tell stories in film format using mobile filmmaking. Normally based at the University of Otago in New Zealand Wiebke has been at the University of Bayreuth since April as part of her sabbatical period. At the film evening in the Glashaus, there will be:

• Samples of short films created in the „Mobile Filmmaking“ courses
• The documentary „The Guardian of Kinabalu“ about the national park with the highest mountain in Southeast Asia on Borneo (40 min, in English)
• An opportunity to exchange ideas with Wiebke before she travels back to the other side of the world
