Dissolved organic carbon in Bavarian forest soils

The DOC concentration of organic layers increased in Bavarian forests during past years and likely contributed to the DOC increase in surface waters. The results of the joint study by the Department of Soil Ecology and the Bavarian Forest Institute in Freising has been published in the July volume of Global Change Biology (Borken et al. 2011).
