DFG extends CRC "Microplastics" at the University of Bayreuth

The German Research Foundation (DFG) will once again fund the Collaborative Research Centre 1357 "Microplastics" at the University of Bayreuth with around 13 million euros over the next four years. The CRC, which was established in 2019, is investigating the increasing contamination of the environment by plastics worldwide and is developing innovative approaches to solutions that counteract the ecological, health and economic dangers caused by this. The close linking of interdisciplinary basic research with problem-related applied research will enable well-founded risk assessments and further strengthen the transfer of knowledge to the public.
