Bernd-Rendel Award goes to Andreas Schweiger

Andreas H. Schweiger, Chair of Biogeography, studies complex interactions in ecosystems. His actual focus is on the ecology of springs as indicator for processes in forest ecosystems, which he has been working on in his doctoral thesis. For the quality and originality of his research work as well as his commitment at the Conference of the International Biogeography Society 2015 in Bayreuth, he will be awarded with the Bernd Rendel Prize for Geosciences of the German Research Foundation at the DGGV conference in September 2016 Innsbruck.
