Microplastics in the sea: baselines and standards

Four research projects were selected for funding in the Joint Programming Initiative JPI Oceans and will start working in January 2016. In the project BASEMAN - "Defining the baselines and standards for microplastics analyses in European waters" - experts from the Animal Ecology I in Bayreuth will take part in the profound and detailed comparison and evaluation of all approaches from sampling to identification of microplastics.
