In January 2012 the handbook "Eddy Covariance" edited by M. Aubinet, T. Vesala und D. Papale was issued by Springer. Thomas Foken was responsible for the important chapters about the theoretical basics and the correction methods Also the former PhD students of the Department of Micrometeorology Corinna Rebmann, Mathias Göckede and Matthias Mauder were involved in the writing of some chapters. This handbook is the first monograph about the eddy-covariance method – one of the most important measuring methods for the energy and trace gas exchange between the atmosphere and the biosphere.
