Consortium for Research in East African Tropical Ecosystems

The first CREATE workshop was held at Maseno University, Kenya, on February 18, 2014. Twenty scientists from Kenyan, US and Bayreuth universities, Kenya Wildlife service, as well as local conservationists came together to present ongoing projects. The information exchange and identification of future partners aims at a bottom-up synthetic analysis of Kenyan land use systems. The workshop was also part of a Botanical Excursion with students from Bayreuth University. All participants enjoyed the interesting discussions in a relaxed atmosphere provided by Prof. John Onyango and staff.
