Diploma, Soil & Water Engineering, Egerton College- Kenya
Substantially therefore I have experience in project management, feasibility studies, preliminary and final designs (irrigation, water supply, drainage and any other related engineering work), rehabilitation work, technical specification, preparation of tender documents, construction supervision, studies preparation, technical environmental assessment of an intervention (prior & after), proposal and report writing. Typical is the ADB funded Kimira-Oluch study that had all features of a project such as preparation, procurement, implementation and environmental evaluation. I was project leader and supervised a team of International and local consultants. Apart from my normal assignments, I am also currently coordinating with a number of NGO’s within the region, one currently on drip wind energy irrigation. I must say I have been in position of leadership since 1993. Among them I acted as the Managing Director for Lake Basin Development Authority from October 2009 and was confirmed in April 2011. As the Managing Director I have initiated various Authority’s programmes and projects, touching on institutional restructure and development. I have been awarded a certificate in appreciation of distinguished service to the Authority Board of Directors as the Secretary between 2010 and 2013.
